I took the Bradley Method® classes when I was pregnant with my first child and had midwifery care with CNMs for all of my births. I have been teaching The Bradley Method® since 2007 and started attending births as a doula in 2009. I maintain current certifications in CPR and neonatal resuscitation. I believe a “good birth” is the best way for a family to get started when a new baby comes into the world. To me, a good birth is one where the mom is involved in planning and decision-making, and where she is surrounded by supportive people who see that she is comfortable and safe. I love how Birth Care helps families do exactly this! I enjoy the combination of emotional, practical, and clinical support in my birth assistant role.
My husband and I have been married since 2004, have four children, and live in Herndon, Virginia. We are a former Army family. I homeschool my kids. I enjoy getting outside, attempting to grow things in my yard, photography, and projects in the kitchen when children are not underfoot.
I serve northern Virginia. My fees are $850-950 depending on location and whether the birth is at the birth center or in your home.
