About the Midwives

The certified nurse-midwives of BirthCare & Women's Health work with healthy women during their childbearing years. We are registered nurses who have expanded our education in normal obstetric and gynecology through intensive graduate nurse-midwifery programs.

We are certified through and are members of the American College of Nurse-Midwives. We are licensed to practice midwifery in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Should the need arise for physician consultation or referral, we have Clinical Practice Agreements signed by board certified OB-GYNs who are available 24 hours a day. We are experienced through years of working in hospital home birth and birth center midwifery, maternal- child health, family planning, and childbirth education.
