“I became a midwife to empower women to trust their body and their baby through the birthing process. To be able to be with women through their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period is such a blessing; witnessing everyday miracles. I know that God called me to serve women, and I’m so blessed that my job is my passion.”
Chloe Rios has always had a passion for serving others in all areas of healthcare. Chloe began her journey in 2006 when she began her pre-requisites to become a Registered Nurse. After numerous military moves and the birth of her first child; Chloe graduated with her ADN from Western Oklahoma State College and passed her national certification to become a Registered Nurse. She soon began working at a local community hospital in the field of Medical-Surgical/ Cardiology. While beginning her clinical experience, she furthered her education to obtain her BSN from Northwestern State University, completing in December 2011.
Following completion of her undergraduate degree, Chloe began working with mothers and babies in Labor and Delivery at a local military hospital. She knew she loved being in the presence of women during one of the most intimate and influential moments of their lives. She saw the way a woman’s birth could be drastically different based on the care provider available and the lack of trust in women with their desires to have a natural birth. She became empowered to become a provider who trusted women and natural birth, to make a positive difference in Women’s Health. In 2012, Chloe obtained her Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) certification, in order to assist mothers in breastfeeding. In 2013, Chloe pursued her Master’s Degree in Nursing with a concentration in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University (FNU), while completing her clinical rotation at BirthCare and Women’s Health. Chloe graduated from FNU in August 2016 and passed her national certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board.
Chloe is married to the love of her life, Freddy, of nine years. Freddy is currently active duty in the U.S. Army, serving his second deployment. They have three beautiful children: Landon (8), Sophia (4), and her own Birthcare Waterbirth baby Natalia (19 months). Chloe enjoys spending every ounce of time with her children making fun memories. Chloe is eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve the women and families of BirthCare and Women’s Health. Chloe strives daily to provide individualized care while always focusing on making women feel important, empowered, trusted, and respected.
