Four-Part Childbirth Preparation Series

Our comprehensive childbirth education program consists of four interactive, 3-hour classes designed to build your knowledge step-by-step.

We recommend completing the full series for the most comprehensive preparation, but each class may also be taken individually.

What You'll Learn

Part 1: Pregnancy Essentials

Build a strong foundation by learning about healthy pregnancy, informed decision-making, fetal development, pregnancy changes, birth planning, warning signs, and preparing your body and mind for birth.

Part 2: Navigating Labor & Medical Interventions

Understand the stages of labor, common hospital procedures, pain management options, labor interventions, induction, cesarean birth, and how to confidently advocate for your preferences.

Part 3: Labor Comfort Measures

Practice hands-on comfort techniques including breathing, movement, positioning, massage, partner support, labor tools, and strategies to help you cope naturally throughout labor.

Part 4: Postpartum Recovery

Prepare for the fourth trimester by learning what to expect physically and emotionally after birth, newborn transition, postpartum healing, mental health, family adjustment, and recovery planning.

  • Four interactive 3-hour classes

  • Time for questions and discussion

  • Partners and support people are encouraged to attend

Best time to begin: Around 24 weeks of pregnancy to allow enough time to complete the series before birth.

Newborn Care & Breastfeeding Basics

Start Parenthood with Confidence

This stand-alone, 3-hour class focuses on caring for your baby during those important first weeks at home.

Designed for new and growing families, this class provides practical, hands-on education to help you feel confident caring for your newborn and getting breastfeeding off to a strong start.

Topics Include

  • Basic newborn care

  • Normal newborn behaviors

  • Safe sleep

  • Diapering, bathing, and cord care

  • Soothing and comforting techniques

  • Hunger cues and feeding patterns

  • Breastfeeding initiation

  • Positioning and latch basics

  • Common early breastfeeding challenges

  • When and where to seek additional support
